The Farmhouse Deli & Pantry: Delightful Delicacies and Cozy Vibes

Every time we go to Saugatuck we stop here. They have so many healthy and delicious options! They always have a fabulous gluten free selection for both deli and backed goods. I remember the first time I walked in and saw a chocolate cake with decadent pink frosting under the glass. As someone with celiac, you know the things under the glass are never for you. But much to my surprise they were selling this by the slice and it was gluten free! It also ended up being one of the best cake slices I have ever had! But I balance the cake slices here with pressed juices (all of them have been super delicious) as well as some pretty healthy salads. This time we had a few different juices, jumbo shrimp, potato salad, beets, curried carrot salad and kale salad! Everything was so good that we stopped on the way home to get some to munch on throughout the week!

I absolutely love everything about this place. It’s a bit on the pricey side for a deli, but the food is so fresh and delicious- it’s worth it! I wish I could eat here every day! The kale salad is out of this world- you should try it even if you are not crazy about kale. The same goes for the smoked salmon. The breads and desserts are beautiful and delicious. You really can’t go wrong with any order! Super friendly staff and adorable, charming atmosphere.

My boyfriend got the Cali Ruben and said it was delicious and well-balanced. I got the flank steak with cornbread and green beans - WOW, it blew my mind. That was the best cornbread we both have ever had. The green beans were cooked perfectly. The chicken tortilla soup and the vegan kale and turnip soup inspired us to make more soups this fall. Very friendly staff, and beautiful inside. Definitely stop here if you are in the area and want something healthy and delicious!

I'm actually surprised I haven't reviewed this place before. I come here often when I visit my hometown. It is a must stop before the beach and here is why. THE FOOD!!! its amazing, they have vegan options a bakery and local food and drinks. My favorite is the BLT because that aoli is TDF. However I was recently told I could get that on any sandwich so I decided after years of ordering the same I'd try the Bahn Mi sandwich and even that was TDF. I love the Traverse City Teas and usually pair my sandwich with that. I enjoy the indoor seating but sometimes it is filled with tourists and it's more enjoyable to eat it elsewhere. Summer season there is almost always a wait time, but I have never waited longer than 15-20 minutes for a meal. The people are friendly and efficient. 10/10 would recommend this place. & your friends will love you if you bring back dips from the cooler. Parking is good and they have clean restrooms as well.

I have never had a bad experience here. I love their cubano! But here’s the real thing: I am not gluten free. I love gluten. BUT — the GF double chocolate cake is quite possibly one of the— if not THE— best cakes I’ve ever had. Ever. It’s the cake I ask for every year on my birthday. TBH, the GF is better than the regular one!! If you are GF, get the GF double chocolate cake & thank me later.

OMG the GF chocolate raspberry cake was so moist and magical. This was hands down the best GF cake ever!! I ate it all before I could get the photo… I had mistakenly grabbed the regular version of this after talking about my switch to GF and the lady who helped me caught it. Service is amazing here. Super friendly.

We were traveling in the area and were looking for somewhere to stop for a sandwich. Fell upon this on Google and decided based on the ratings to give it a shot. Upon walking in, we were very pleasantly greeted and told the lady we were new here. She was very helpful, showing us the menu and providing some recommendations. As we approached the counter to order, our mouths started to salivate as we saw an array of beautifully homemade salads, which were unique, including a carrot curry, brussels sprouts, kale salad, and many others. We ordered the. Belly Buster sandwich, which had smoked pork and a few other ingredients. First of all, it was enormous and enough for at least two people to share. This was also one of the most unique sandwiches I’ve ever had, and it was fantastic. We also ordered the Muffetella sandwich and it was also very good, especially the bread which was homemade. We ordered a couple of different salads which I mentioned, and they were fantastic. Topped it off with a coconut macaroon and carrot cake, and this place got a home run. In fact, if lived in the area, I would be a regular.

We love everything about Farmhouse Deli! We come for sandwiches every day were in town. We love the hummus wrap, turkey, and ham sandwiches. Their deli salads are the best and so are the desserts! Everything is fresh and served with a smile. They have the cutest outdoor spaces to enjoy their delicious food!
